The sites in this exploration were designed to provide a safe starting point for students exploring the world wide web. Most of these sites have been developed by educators or librarians and the sites linked off these web portals have been checked for appropriate content. I've used these sites for years in my computer lab without incident.

Many of the sites below are .com sites and offer those distractions along with appropriate content.
