Search engine help files
The search engines themselves offer Help, Hints or Tips information. These offer very specific information about how to best use the advanced search features available on the search engine.
2018 Update
These Help files are not as prominently displayed as they once used to be. You may have to search around a bit on the search engine site to find these files.
Again... Don't panic if you can't immediately find the Help files. Systematically explore the search engine home page clicking on available links until you locate the Help files.
If you are still unable to find the Help files try running a search for the name of the search engine and the word help like this: google help, yahoo help, bing help, etc.
The Help files are also typically available when you select the Advanced Search screens.
Visit each of the search engines and locate the Help files. Print the Help files for the search engines that you usually use.
When you finish, you will have a comprehensive reference file that you can keep near your computer to guide your use of Boolean Operators in the next pass through the search engines.
