This website will be your "classroom" for this online course. Take a few minutes to explore the website to familiarize yourself with the layout of the "classroom." Navigation: Top Row Directly below the logo on every webpage in the course, you will notice four links that look like this: Clicking on these links will: home: return you to the course homepage instructor: take you to a page with the instructor's -mail address. You will want to add the instructor's e-mail address to your email address book as you will be using it often throughout the course. discussion board: open a new web browser window with the course web discussion board. You will use the web discussion board to submit several of your course assignments and read messages from your fellow course participants. The web discussion board has an excellent on-screen tutorial that you can read by clicking on "Getting Started".. toolkit: take you to a section of the course web site that contains every hypertext link contained in the course modules. This webpage will be useful when you want to return to a link your explored earlier in the course and do not want to burrow down into the modules to find the link. The course web site will be available to course participants after course completion for future reference. Navigation: Second Row Inside the course modules, you will see a second module navigation bar like this:
You will notice, as you enter each module, that the top navigation row remains the same but that the second row changes to reflect the module organization scheme. Clicking on the interactive syllabus link will take you to the interactive syllabus for each module. This interactive syllabus will provide and outline of the course content as well as hyperlinks to all of the module content. A link at the bottom of each module webpage will take you to the next page in the course. Important Note: If you haven't already done so, now is the time to download or print a copy of the course logbook which is located in the Course Support Documents section on the course web site. You will use this logbook to record your observations, comments and assignment completion dates as you move through the course. You will return the course logbook to the instructor for evaluation upon completion of the course.
