Instructor's Self-Introduction

Name: Jim Lloyd

Current Assignment: After twenty-nine years as a History-Social Science teacher at Bullard High School, I took the position as the History-Social Science Curriculum Coordinator for the Fresno Unified School District in the fall of 2002. I was a district mentor teacher, department chair, and served as the editor for the Valley Voice, the San Joaquin Valley Council for the Social Studies newsletter. I have been a reader for the AP European History exam.

Area of Expertise or Special Interest: In the classroom, I concentrated my efforts on developing innovative, technology-enriched curriculum for my AP European History and Modern World History courses.

As the History-Social Science Coordinator, I have focused a significant portion of my efforts on developing a comprehensive web site to support district History-Social Science educators. I also work on curriculum mapping and benchmark assessments for each grade level.
