Research: Building a Bookmarks/Favorites List

While searching the internet to build a bookmark list of websites I can use in my classroom, I focused on websites I did not use in this course, or use in the past. I truly wanted to find new websites, ones that would be useful in lesson planning, teaching, additional support, and interactive student-user websites.

My approach to matching sites with specific mathematic standards was that I broke the basic functions down into four categories: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division. From there, I found four websites in each category. While searching for websites, I tried to find a lesson plan site, generated document site, and student-interactive site for each. I feel that doing this covered much of the information needed to better my instruction, and most of all, student learning.
