Assignment #1 Using my self-introduction as a model, your first assignment will be to visit the course Web Discussion Board to post your self-introduction. Please include the items your introduction:
Click on the discussion board link at the top of this page and read some information about the Username and Password that you will need to use to post messages on the web discussion board. Following the instructions on the page, change your password before posting your self-introduction message. Click on the link to the EDU 914 Web Discussion Board found at the top of that page to open the board. Click on the Module 1: Introductions link to open that message thread. Scroll through the archived introductions until you see the Add Your Message Here section at the bottom of the page. Position your cursor in the white box to the right of Post: and click once. Type the text of your message. Scroll features will appear if your text is longer than the space provided. Enter your Username. Enter your Password. Click on the Preview/Post Message button. Review the text of your message. If you are satisfied with the message, click the Post this Message button. If you need to make changes, you can do that in the Revise your Message section but will need to click the Preview/Post Message and Post this Message buttons again. Important Note: Posting a message on the web board is always a two step process. Simply clicking the first Preview/Post Message button does not "publish" the message. The message will not appear on the web board until you click the Post this Message button after previewing your message. You may need to click the Refresh/Reload button on your web browser to see recently published messages. You will want to periodically revisit this part of the course website as new participants will be joining on a regular basis. Reading the other introductions on the web board will allow you to become acquainted with your "virtual colleagues." Throughout the course, you will have opportunities to interact with other course participants by posting responses to their messages.
